It Takes a Community Like Ours to Keep Actors' Mission Thriving.

As we continue to grow, your support is vital in helping us build a permanent home and keep offering diverse theatrical experiences.

Why Donate Precise

Actors' Mission is a unique and vital part of Wyoming’s cultural landscape. Since its founding in 2002, the organization has become a cornerstone of community theater, offering countless opportunities for local actors, directors, designers, and volunteers to bring theatrical experiences to life.

Over the years, Actors' Mission has provided free performances to thousands of theatergoers and hands-on experience to many dedicated volunteers who contribute their time and talent in areas such as acting, directing, set and costume design, lighting, and more. Nationally acclaimed artists have also led workshops, further enriching the community's exposure to the arts.

Our productions are entirely volunteer-driven. Members of the community have built our theater space, constructed stages, installed lighting and sound equipment, and crafted costumes, all while preparing and serving a meal for our audiences before each performance. Every aspect of our productions is made possible through the dedication of our volunteers.

From the beginning, Actors' Mission has remained true to its guiding principle: Feed the Body – Nourish the Mind. We provide free admission and a meal at every performance, offering theater as a gift to our community. The cost of each production averages between $4,000 and $5,000, which is funded by individual donations, a grant from Sweetwater BOCES, and additional grants as they become available.

Thanks to the dedication and support of our community, we’ve been recognized at both the local and state levels with the Mayor's Arts Award and the Governor's Arts Award. These awards reflect the passion of everyone involved, solidifying our shared role as a cultural asset in Wyoming.

As our organization continues to grow, so does the need for a permanent space to house our productions, equipment, and costumes. Thanks to a generous building donation located at 440 South Main Street, across from the Train Depot in downtown Rock Springs, we are one step closer to fulfilling that need. However, we still require your support to complete the necessary renovations.

Whether you're someone who spends hundreds of dollars annually on live theater and entertainment or simply values the role of community arts, we invite you to contribute to Actors' Mission. Your donations directly help us build and maintain our new home.

Donations can be made online via our Donate Page, at performances, or at other public events. If you're unable to make a financial contribution, we are always looking for volunteers to help with ongoing repairs and renovations. Every contribution, whether monetary or through volunteer work, helps to keep our mission alive.

Thank you for supporting the only theater of its kind in Wyoming!
